Blog entry 17: Reflection The food industry.

The food industry was the third section of this ENG class which has being very interesting for me. Maybe because this is a topic that anyone could personally be related with it, and I did find myself on it. We started with the Meatxit, a sort series of cartoon films, that start on our 14th day of class; and end the 18th day we the suggestion of Michael Pollen’d in his book “In defense of Food”. I think I am more concerned about my nutrition now, and enriching my knowledge about good and healthy food.
I was amazed after Watching the Meatrix.  Not just because the creativity of the producers to make that connection with the original movie, it was because how logical the message was.  We live cheated about the consumption of products that are not really what are sold to us.  Like Pollen’d says, the more difficult is to pronounce the name of a product the less close we should get to it.  There could be tens of classifications in a single line of product.
This section is another example that goes with the philosophy with this class. To become aware about our surround, how much is out there that I don’t know? Or maybe somthing I’d being exposed to, but I ignore the facts.
We also had a CAT practice in which I felt very comfortable writing it. The example in the passage is not something that is only happening on the west coast of the country, we can see it nationally. As I said, I’m eager to keep open my eyes on this matter. I don’t know how this could save my live, or how I could help others to save them. So far, I’m leaning a terrific lection for modern life, and at the same time I’m improving my skill as a CAT writer.
